3D Rabbit

3D Rabbit Changi Airport.

I looked down and I saw this. I was told, apparently, if you look past the immediate object, by gradually increasing the distance with your eyes, you will see the the image. It.

But for this particular one, I only saw my toes and realise I’m the only one standing still gazing at  the floor, within this vicinity of constant human traffic. Yanyways I’m going mental.

A thought crossed my mind. One that relates to the title of this post. Shortly after I realise it also does relate doubly, as I noted to self there’s only one person I could aptly think of, to share it with. Thus I delivered it in a handphone text, and (to clear the pun) now here with you,

‘…this is the last night of terawih! I imagine you would get it, when at that thought, I say it calls for both a :( and a :)’

Selamat Hari Raya.

Innovate

.

This game or trailer does not quite intrigue me. Video game is something I do rarely. But often so, not by conscious choice, I innovate. Which some (smart) people say, is either almost as good, or as good as, being original. It’ll be interesting how the Hero franchise has expanded and to see where it will go next and eventually.

Police Rain

Today after pretending/being all Mr. Hero Know It All by giving a talk on social media at a reputable ad agency, I rode my bike from KL to Shah Alam in the rain. It was not quite pleasing, considering I did not have my rain coat. It  is even less pleasing as it rained throughout the whole journey. With only a few intervals whereby your clothes begin to dry up a little as your body quiver and shiver.

Literally beginning with my jaw, later arms and towards the end hips and thighs. Sometimes even feet.

Yanyways let’s move on to positive moments, as with positive thoughts which helped me well especially yesterday and today.

Yesterday, feeling lethargic with little sleep, day ahead full of meetings, I woke up with an episode. Let’s just call that sensation that.

Not long after leaving my house, at a roadblock after being screened, me and the policeman started chatting. It was the first time, he left with a smile and a sincere reminder to ride safe. For whatever reason, that reversed the outlook I had for the whole day. That was all it took. Had I remembered to wish him Selamat Hari Raya, it would have been perfect.

Whenever I’m with my July 2007 internship BOSS (now ‘friend’ supposedly) and her sister Irma, the most religiously, racially and politically incorrect things can be said and we’ll know whether it was said in jest or otherwise.  Below is a text I sent her a few days ago,

Dinner 9pm. Iranian restaurant. (It’s okay, the cook is a Sunni)

After the meal, they got some shisha, something I have never done. While rubbing it that I should as it is part of my heritage, on top of insisting that Middle East is (should not be) in Asia, I simply responded with,

Shisha is for non-Believers!

After my sleep was interrupted by a refreshing phone call and conversation, more than enough to make me unable to snooze back after, I received a text from the courteous culprit that read,

Not sorry for waking you :)

Flute

This comes after a pleasant evening with Mark, Hardesh, Grey and Michelle where she shared, as she calls it, ‘awful Bridget Jones-esque epic fail dating stories’ which got us laughing extensively. Almost verbatim, this true story (not from Michelle of course) took place long ago, came to me from someone not too long ago.

.

This one time, I was dating this girl right. Minah ni cam eager beaver sikit aa kan. Aku was like, chill aa you know. And she’s like anak pastor kau tau.

So sekali tu dia pergi band camp au.

Yea yeaaa exactly man. Exactly.

We were driving after she came back and I just turned to her and said, ‘you cheated on me didn’t you?’

Didn’t have to wait for an answer man. I stopped the car and told her get out.

Free Hugs

The standee, on tables at all Delicious outlets.

11 September 2009. 11th Project. The standee, on tables at all Delicious outlets.

.

I am by myself now at the Delicious of Bangsar Village II. Earlier, I was at the One Utama outlet.

Today Delicious begins selling the t-shirts from the project RA has with them, RA+D, at all their outlets. The presence of the project, is on the uniform of all their staff and tables. On 31st August, there was a rather fancy and impressive launch hosted by them with an attending crowd and media coverage of the same plateau.

All that says something. About the the continuing journey and present destination.

I know not of its vast nor gravity. But I’ve long decided to not try to measure the mark at the river dam.

Of all though, the most important reflection would be to note that that one event/project that was done. Promoted very casually over many weeks. Where to my expectation, 1000 people were meant to be there due to online RSVP, despite the poor choice of venue I’ve selected which proved me wrong/right later.

When the rain came expansively and extensively, beyond what was feared to be, it affected all. And perhaps (only) a good twelve heads were there.

For whatever reason (even to my own surprise), that all never did registered in me as a disappointment or failure. Not even denial, in fact. But there was a sensation of dissastisfaction, unfulfillment and hunger to want to do it again. Or more. Or do something. And I found that I did. With little babble or quibble. Unusually so.

I suppose, that’s how, and when it all began.

In a nutshell, in the grand scale of things that things are in the day it is today, from flashing lights to ego rights, I cap my beak with a glance at a plate of meat, to that day that took place a year and a half ago.
