I begin to think, if my little sister’s mission in life, is to do all that she does, at a slower pace. By the time I conclude my thought on this, I hope she’s finished doing what she was. Yesterday.
This 31st August, through RA, I am part of a team organising an event for Merdeka. It was out in the papers yesterday and today. This morning I had an interview with Business FM 89.9. In an hour, with XFresh FM 103.0. Tomorrow, on the NTV7 Breakfast Show. Another morning show has yet to confirm.
I don’t particularly enjoy talking about it, putting it out there, as I did today, as I have in the past. (As with the existence of this website.) The attention that inevitably includes me on a personal sphere, I admit, is a sensation I am not comfortable with. But by being so and doing so, more people get to know about the projects I am part of, which are mostly in essence perpetually inviting public participation.
I imagine they are transporting food.
A day after I was on the kitchen floor of someone’s house inspecting the clueless and unsuspecting base and destination of a trail of ants, the same thing started taking place on my desk at home- between my laptop and a pile of papers. At lost at the irony, I asked where they were going. Came the reply,
Nowhere mate. :)

A recent deal I had closed, a kind that was a first for me, required me to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Having seen it once or twice in and out of law school, I started from scratch. As I was painfully completing the first draft, I decided to send one of the parties to the MoU (who was waiting for it) a text.
You know, I like how drafting this MoU/contract is intellectually challenging. I love that feeling. But it’s also probably the same reason why I didn’t want to be a fckng lawyer. Sigh. It shall be with you soon.

I was meant to stop working an hour ago, sleep and continue at 6.30am. Now it’s 2am, as I prep to sleep, I am dancing alone to this song.
-Facebook & Twitter update

I have just spent about the last 45minutes trying to fall asleep. During which, to assist myself, I tried reading a book, turning on the air-conditioning system and then finally jotting down to-do notes and ideas in my handphone, before trying again for a few more minutes. It is now 3.11am and I finally conceded that it’s best to just get back to work and stay up till sahur, instead of getting a lousy two hour.
…I just noted the link of the title of this post, to the song and my present situation.

Three weeks ago I was in Bali for the second time. The primary purpose of my trip was to surf again there. At least on three occassions, I was hit by a wave, gone under not knowing how long will it take for the current to pass while I spun upside down for a round or two.
I came back to KL late night and the next morning went to visit my cousin, her husband and daughter from Europe who were in KL for a few days. A few hours later, they left KL for Singapore and for Bali the following day with four of their friends.
One in their group, drowned and passed away.

A week ahead without such privilege will be easy. I imagine.
Sorry. For the dog & bone time that seems to keep us up for hours on end.
